IPTV on Android TV, boxes and phones (IPTV Smarters and TiviMate)

Android is the easiest place to run IPTV: apps are plentiful, mostly free, and need no MAC activation. This covers Android TV and Google TV sets (Sony, TCL, Xiaomi, Philips…), Android boxes, Fire TV Sticks and Android phones.

Apps we recommend

• IPTV Smarters Pro: the most common, clear interface, supports Xtream and M3U, free.
• XCIPTV: light and stable, good for weaker devices.
• TiviMate: the best TV interface with a strong EPG; the full version is paid (a small subscription).
• Televizo / GSE: good alternatives on phones.

Steps (IPTV Smarters as the example)

1. Install the app from Google Play. On Fire TV, or if it is not in the store, skip to the Downloader section below.
2. Open it and choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
3. Enter any name for the playlist, then the username, password and server address exactly as in your subscription message (the server address includes http:// and the port).
4. Tap Add User — the app downloads channels, movies and series within seconds.
5. In settings enable EPG for the programme guide, and choose the video player (Native or ExoPlayer) — try both if the picture stutters.

Installing an app that is not on the store (Downloader)

1. Install the Downloader app from the device store.
2. In the device settings allow installs from unknown sources for Downloader.
3. Open Downloader and enter the APK link of the app (we send it to you on WhatsApp with your subscription).
4. After the download tap Install, then Open.

Performance tips

• Connect the box by cable if you can; Wi-Fi on 5 GHz beats 2.4 GHz.
• Close background apps on weaker devices.
• Do not run two players with the same details at the same time — it may count as two devices.
